Photographs by the award-winning photographer Lori Waselchuk and quilts by the incarcerated hospice volunteers at Louisiana State Penitentiary not only show a culture of caring a compassion that challenges stereotypes of the incarcerated, but also provide an intimate and personal perspective on what long-term and life sentences signify for those inside.
